Le Consulat

A Parisian programmation of spectacular cabarets centering itself on marginalised people affected by the precarisation of their identity
From September until December 2023, she is in charge of the Cabaret Programmation of Le Consulat Voltaire in Paris. A programmation centering itself on marginalised people affected by the precarisation of their identity.
I’m trying, with this programmation, to create opportunities for marginalized individuals and groups of people who don’t usually have much access to the arts economy.
For that reason, one of the priorities of this for me was the importance of seeing different bodies, identities and artistic mediums. I think “different” in terms of gender, sexuality, colour, ethnicity, diversity of body, art, medium and validity... Of course it’s not possible to represent everyone and everything in a cabaret, but it’s important to actively create spaces for us all.
There is also the importance of inclusivity that is expressed and presented on stage, I will not tolerate any form of racism, transphobia, machismo, grossophobia, homophobia, validism, sexism and other discriminatory statements or actions on stage, in dressing rooms, anywhere within the consulate.
Circus, traditional, queer cabarets, neo-trad, Weimar with a drop of acid, ballrooms, Berlin strippers, diner and immersive evenings, the aim of this programmation is not only to give collectives from different backgrounds the freedom to express themselves, but also to invite a wide variety of audiences to the Consulat and introduce them to foreign and local artists.
